Camp 2022

Image
Vertical horizons V ertical horizons is an  adventure camp where you can do lots of different activities that  include water or not. Our team was lucky enough to go there for  a couple days. We attended a range of activities from a zipline to archery to the flying kiwi and many more super fun activities.  My favourite  activity was the flying kiwi because you were pulled high  into the air by your teammates and spun around in the air. They had delicious food including breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon  tea,  tea and dessert.   At vertical horizons there is a place and activity for everyone! Thanks to everyone for making Camp 2022 such a success!

Swim Safety

We had a swim safety lesson today. We wore clothes over top of togs, 'fell overboard', treaded water for a minute, removed clothes (NOT togs), and continued treading water until the 'boat' came back, raised our hand to indicate we needed help, and were finally rescued! It was a tricky task but one that taught us the importance of always being safe and aware of our environment.

Girls Football Sessions On Friday afternoon Tawa girls headed out to learn some new skills. There is a girls football tournament coming up later this month which we hope tp be able to enter a team into. The girls quickly realised that they were more capable than they thought!
